What we see most in SF
Stacked units in a closet
Most SF flats run a stacked washer-dryer in a hall closet with maybe two inches of clearance. Servicing one means unstacking it in place. We carry the straps and dollies for it rather than discovering the problem on arrival.
Not draining
Usually the drain pump filter or a blocked standpipe. In older buildings the standpipe itself is often the culprit, not the machine — worth knowing before you replace a working appliance.
Walks or bangs on spin
Front-loaders with worn spider arms or bearings. Common on machines past eight years, and much louder in a wood-frame Victorian than in a slab-on-grade house.
Door will not unlock
Typically the door lock assembly or the control board. There is a manual release on most models; we will talk you through it on the phone so you can get your laundry out before we arrive.
Brands we service
Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Viking, Gaggenau, Bosch, Fisher & Paykel, Dacor, JennAir, Bertazzoni, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, GE, KitchenAid, Maytag, Frigidaire and Electrolux. Not on the list? Call and ask — this is what we see most, not a limit.
What it costs
You get a flat-rate quote before any work starts, and the diagnostic fee is waived when you go ahead with the repair. We do not bill hourly, so a stacked unit wedged in a closet or a built-in behind a cabinet front does not quietly inflate the bill.
Where we work
Across San Francisco, most often in Marina, Cow Hollow, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, North Beach, Nob Hill, Presidio Heights, Richmond District and the surrounding neighborhoods.
North of the bridge? Marin County is handled from our San Rafael shop.
