Not cooling but the light works
Usually a sealed-system, evaporator-fan, or defrost fault rather than the compressor. In SF flats we see evaporator icing more than average, because kitchens sit against uninsulated exterior walls and the temperature differential runs high.
Built-in and integrated columns
Sub-Zero, Thermador, and Fisher & Paykel columns are common in remodelled Pacific Heights and Marina kitchens. These are cabinet-depth units that usually cannot be pulled forward without removing trim, so diagnosis has to happen in place.
Water on the floor
Most often a blocked defrost drain freezing and overflowing, not a supply-line leak. Worth catching early in a flat with hardwood underneath.
